A little re-introduction
Hi! It’s been a long time since I’ve introduced myself on here, and quite a lot has happened.
Earlier this year I completed my thirteenth year as a therapist, training initially as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist, and then adding to the toolkit with NLP (Master Practitioner) for coaching, and most recently a masters from the University of East London in Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology.
In among those years I’ve also trained in many other approaches and therapies, including Eye Movement Integration (like EMDR), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Generative Coaching (with the amazing Robert Dilts and Stephen Gilligan), Inside Out coaching with Michael Neill, and taken courses on addiction, fertility, hypnobirthing… so many! I’m a lover of learning that’s for sure.
I can’t even count how many people I’ve seen in that time, or who have downloaded my recordings on YouTube, or joined some of the live programmes I’ve run online and in person on meditation, self-hypnosis or trauma. It must be well into the thousands!
I’ve worked from a beautiful office on Harley Street, an old Victorian house in Britain’s oldest recorded town, a cosy cabin in the Essex countryside, and now more frequently online from the comfort of my own home meaning that I have have the privilege of working with people from all over the world.
And sometimes I have to stop and think about how amazing that really is. To be able to be my own boss, keep my own hours, have time for my family, and to do work that really helps people.
What all this means is that I am in the fantastic position of being qualified and accredited as a coach and therapist, and also very experienced in helping my clients get unstuck and moving again.
What my clients usually say about me is that I care. We get to know each other when we work together, and I am so invested in figuring out what we need to do to get things on track for you. I often miss my clients when we end our time together, but I also always have to hope I’ll never hear from them again!
Other than that, outside work, I’m a mum of a teenage boy, a schnauzer-poodle, and two delightful cats. I paint, I read, I do Crossfit and sometimes Muay Thai boxing. I have great friends and a supportive family. I play video games with my son. I love escape rooms and puzzles. And I’m really grateful for all of that.
