Have you ever wondered about the benefits of online coaching and therapy?
Since covid forced a lot of therapists to adjust to working online, online therapy and coaching has become commonplace. I currently see about 50% of my clients online.
The benefits of coaching online for me mean that I am not limited by geography on who I can help.
Benefits of online coaching and therapy
The benefits for you are that you can attend your appointments from the comfort of your home and office, making it easier to fit in with your busy schedule, especially if you travel a lot. If you’re feeling under the weather, you don’t have to get in the car and drive, or face public transport. If anxiety is an issue and you’re struggling to leave your house, the computer screen is right there with you. If you are worried about confidentiality, you can choose a time and place to attend the session that feels safe to you.
Considerations of online therapy and coaching
There are some things to consider before choosing to work online. Firstly is the technology. Do you have a device that can run Zoom? Do you have somewhere that you can place the device so that you can be hands-free during the session? Have you got a comfortable seat in the room, where you could close your eyes for any visualisation work? Have you got a room where you can be alone and not disturbed? Have you got headphones (these aren’t essential but can help with sound issues)? Have you got a good internet connection that doesn’t regularly drop?
